An Edwardian sterling silver bread or grape basket, Birmingham 1905 maker mark obscured by probably S. Glass of rectangular form with slanted sides, gadrooned rim, raised on four ball and claw feet. The body with embossed decoration of fruit vine. The swing handle with die stamped acanthus leaves. Marked to centre, the handle part marked for Alfred Biggin & Son (George Henry Biggin). Length - 27.8 cm / 10.9 inches Weight - 634 grams / 20.38 ozt
