AN ANTIQUE SOUTH-WEST PERSIAN KILIM

The field with three multicoloured serrated lozenge medallions flanbked by similar large half lozenge panels at each side. In serrsted vine and running-dog open border. Striped skirt at each end, approx: 278cm. x 142cm. Veey nice example probably from Luri tribe. This kilim has small old repairs, well done. Touches of slight wear in places. Selvages slightly fraying. Ends with short fringes. Woven on wool foundation. Despite the imperfections, this kilim is general is in good usable conditon. Popular at present market.
