A 19TH CENTURY LIMOGES ENAMEL TAZZA AND COVER PAINTED WITH THE TRIUMPH OF GALATEA IN THE STYLE OF PIERRE REYMOND (FRENCH, 1513-1584) in the Renaissance Revival style, the domed cover surmounted by a finial and decorated with mermen and mermaids in the ocean amongst dolphins and hippocampi, within a guilloche border, the inside of the cover with scrolling foliate and four classical style masks, the inside of the bowl painted with the Triumph of Galatea after Raphael, with gilt highlights and gilt border, raised on a spreading domed foot,  23cm high  Raphael painted the Triumph of Galatea, depicting the Nereid astride a chariot pulled by dolphins in the Villa Farnesina, Rome in 1514.
