Qing Dynasty, 18th Century.
The ovoid body painted with a bird on a branch of a blooming tree, the tapered neck with a raised band below the rim with freely painted floral sprays between two diaper borders, 28cm H, together with a framed and glazed gilt and silk thread embroidery of characters among blossoms, 56 x 10.5cm.
Provenance: the vase from the collection of Davies family, Glamorgan, the embroidery purchased at Arthur Ackerman, London [label].
