An early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver bowl, Lucknow circa 1910
Raj period. Of compressed circular form with convex sides. The body with embossed decoration in hunting pattern, with figures upon caparisoned and houdah wearing elephants attacked by a lion, a gun wielding figure on horseback pursuing deer, another spearing a wild boar. All below a border of trailing foliage and rosettes. The underside with a flat chased circular foliate mandala.
