A Victorian burr walnut vanity case, the leather stamped W&J Milne makers Edinburgh on the lid, the lock stamped JT Needs Piccadilly, the silver mounts London 1875, by Brockwell & Son Of rectangular form, the lid with a brass plaque engraved with initials, opening to reveal a dark blue velvet lined interior with five bottle compartments and a pull-off tray fitted with three rectangular boxes, two cylindrical examples and a section fitted with a pair of scissors and two mother-of-peal handled button hooks, a button releases the bottom drawer fitted with jewellery dividers, the bottles with cut glass body, the lids engraved with foliate and geometrical motifs and with initials. Length – 31.5 cm/12.4
