A late 18th / early 19th century continental unmarked gold mounted silver marriage box, probably Dutch circa 1800
Of oval cross section form with a pull off lid attached by a chain to the base. Each side with an applied gold basket of flowers reserved with engraved decoration and matting, one side with initials J.A.U and M.G.U. The lid with a rudimentary wriggle work engraved rabbit with a flower, the underside with The Caduceus.
