A CHINESE IRON RUST GLAZED VASE, MEIPING.

Qing Dynasty, 18th Century.

The high vase rising to swelling shoulders and a tapering neck, covered evenly in a rich, silvery reddish-brown glaze, the base recessed and similarly glazed save for the foot ring, a label to the base with a hand-written accession number states 'very rare', 24.5cm H.

Provenance: Christie's South Kensington, 15 January 2004, lot 304.
