A typical example of Holy Land pilgrimage souvenir, the crucifix mounted on a stepped rectangular wooden base, the back and sides of the crucifix made of segments of olive wood of different colours, the front clad in carved mother-of-pearl plaques showcasing Christ on the cross in the centre, the Four Evangelists on each end of the cross, to the base a niche with scourged Christ tied to a column, 48cm high including the base.
