VICTORIAN INTEREST, 1860s-1880s
Albumen prints (49), image sizes 5 x3.2cm (smallest) and 9.4 x5.8cm (largest), compiled in a scrapbook with some artistic reproductions and decorative drawings. Subjects include views of St. James's Church in Louth, Salisbury, Harle Tower in Northumberland, house of the Anderson family, whose portraits are included in the album, as such Miss Anderson. Other prints include portraits of the Gordon family members, as Spencer, Barbara and Mary. Most of the photos are captioned in the lower margins, possibly by Miss Mary A. Gordon (d.1960), to whom the album most probably belonged; drawings of floral decorations finely enrich the album.
