Of pyriform shape, resting on a flared circular base, rising to a tapering tall neck, with a sinuous ringed spout, curved handle and dome-shaped lid secured to the handle with a white-metal fitting, painted in blue, red, green and black against a white ground, the floral decoration with tulips, carnations, rosettes and saz leaves inspired by 16th-century Ottoman Iznik ceramics, the base marked A la Paix, Paris, 29.5cm high.
