A Victorian sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham 1854 by Edward Smith
Of shaped rectangular form, with waited sides, the lid raised by a chased thumbpiece. The lid with an embossed rural scene, showing a mother nursing an infant in front of a wheatsheaf, within a C scroll cartouche, reserved with chased foliate scrolls. The underside with foliate scrolls and a rosette. Gilt interior. Fully marked between lid and base.
