A POLYRAMA PANOPTIQUE, c.1849 A paper covered wooden box, with sliding mahogany lens panel, optics, VG, connected by bellows (G), hinged lid and back (shutter), by operating the hinged lids, the viewer can alternatively light the transparency from the front or the rear, producing a variety of transformations, sometimes involving movement, dimensions 260mm x 225mm x 140mm, importers dealer plate, W.
