The first formed as a stylised deer, standing four-square, looking forward, with body incised with archaistic scrolls, with an opening to the back covered with a lid, the standing phoenix vessel with a long tail curving beneath the body, with a large vase with reticulated handles balanced on his back, together with a figure of a reclining qilin turning its head to the mythical bird perched on its back, each with a wood stand,17cm H.
