A Victorian sterling silver novelty vesta case, Birmingham 1890 by Alfred Wigley

Formed as a pad lock with push mechanism release to reveal interior with hinged striker section. Suspended from a chain section with waist coat link. Engraved to the back with initials HRT in gothic cypher, the front with facsimile keyhole. Stamped Registered 16.82, 6567. Fully marked to front and part-marked to top link, lion passant to some chain links.

Weight – 35 grams / 1.13 ozt
