A PAIR OF RARE CHINESE BLACK-GLAZED 'IMITATION BRONZE' VASES, CONG.

Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th Century.

The rectangular body of the vase is decorated to two sides with elephant-head handles, kui dragon scrolls imitating ferrules, dragon masks, yin-yang symbols and auspicious characters, with four seal script characters to the short tapered neck, all coated with a brown glaze imitating bronze, four character Xuande seal marks impressed to the bases, together with wood stands, 29.5cm H.
