A Victorian sterling silver novelty vesta case, Birmingham 1880 by MW (unidentified)

Formed as a four-barrel combination lock, engraved to the barrels ‘Matches’. The hinged end cap with serrated surface, the opposite end with registration mark for 26th February 1877. Fully marked to shackle.

Length – 3.3 cm / 1.45 inches

Weight – 13 grams / 0.42 ozt
