A FINE PART SILK NAIN RUG, CENTRAL PERSIA, 247cm. x 160cm. Very nice example for this type with soft pastel colours. Design is well drawn. This large rug has full pile of very fine and lustrous kurk wool. Ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages original. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 6 knots per sq. cm. tiny one or two dot like staining, barely visible. Signature cartouche at one end. In general this piece is in very good condition throughout. Very elegant and good furnishing rug.
