A late Victorian sterling silver novelty vesta vase, Birmingham 1900 by Henry Mathews

Of shaped rectangular form, with suspension ring to the side. The front applied with carved tortoiseshell and mother of pearl fishing flies, heightened with engraving. Gilt interior. Fully marked to base and part-marked to lid.

Length – 5.2 cm / 2 inches

Weight – 38 grams / 1.22 ozt
