Beatles, The

Set of blue ballpoint ink Beatles autographs, clipped and affixed onto two album pages, in very good condition, with just some light glue residue touching the margins of the clippings, 22 November 1963 (same day as JFK's assassination), mounted, framed and glazed 21 x 29.5cm,

PROVENANCE: The signatures were obtained by an AA mechanic who attended their broken down van on November 22nd, 1963, after they had performed at Stockton-on-Tees. They were on a road tour promoting their 2nd album 'With The Beatles', which was released on Parlophone in the UK on 22nd November 1963. The autographs were signed on a garage receipt for the mechanic's daughter, who was a Beatles fan. She then cut them out and mounted them onto a page from her album. The set has remained in her possession until the vendor acquired it from her in October 2021.

It is worth mentioning that the autographs were signed on the same day the US President J.F. Kennedy was shot in Dallas.
