A George III sterling silver coffee pot, London 1783 by T.H (unidentified Grimwade 3832)
Of baluster form upon a circular pedestal foot with beaded rims, the body with bright cut engraved decorative bands of wriggle work, lunettes and guilloche. The curved spout edged either side with beading and scroll junction, opposite a wooden scroll handle with stylised shell and bead junction leading to a hinged lid with cavetto edge and domed centre surmounted by an urn finial, similarly engraved. Engraved to the side with a crest of a martlet issuing from a ducal coronet. Fully marked underneath and part-marked to lid flange.
