Spanish Document.- 1490 Notarial document in Latin on vellum, being a receipt issued by Jewish merchant Salomon Cavaler for 11 Valencian pounds, as settlement paid by Christian nobleman Graciano of Monsoriu, for a cession of tax-collectiong rights related to Sestinella and Besulgua, signed by notary public Bartholomeus Castellnou and Salamon Cavaler, one page, browning to lower margin, tiny hole and loss to upper eges, small tears along folds, Murviedro (Sagunto), 17 May 1490. ***The documents mentions three Jewish merchants (Salomon Astor, Salomon Cavaler, Salomon Çaporta), a Christian nobleman (Graciano de Monsoriu) and a Muslim butcher (Amer Alffarras), showing members of the three religions working together just two years before the Catholic Kings signed the Edict of Expulsion, which decreed that no Jews were permitted to remain in Spain unless they were willing to convert.
