Arabic manuscript pages and calligraphic compositions on paper, comprising five from Qur’ans, mostly laid on board including two with Persian interlinear translations and a double-page finely illuminated in gold and polychromes in a modern mount; a folio with a quote from the first Shi’a imam, Ali, signed Mohammad Al Baqa, dated 1314AH (1897); a further prayer, signed in shikasteh script Abdul Wiqar (?), dated 1218AH (1803); and a mashq folio sprayed with gold, with the letter Sad in all its connecting varieties in the centre, the largest 24cm x 16.5cm, 37.5cm x 26cm including card mount.
