A George III sterling silver heraldic entree dish, London 1805 by John Edwards

Of rectangular form with incurved sides and re-entrant corners, gadrooned rims. The pull off lid surmounted by a detachable cast heraldic finial of a demi-lady, holding in her dexter hand a tower, and in her sinister a laurel-branch. The base and the lid stamped with numeral 2. Fully marked to the side and to the lid, the finial part-marked.
