THREE 18TH CENTURY NEAPOLITAN CARVED WOOD MODELS OF SHEEP two standing and one reclining, 38cm high, 23.5cm high and 15cm high These sheep probably formed part of a large Neapolitan creche scene. These multi-figure and animal scenes were very fashionable in the 18th century, sometimes including hundreds of figures and depicting the Nativity with shepherds as well as other rustic scenes of Neapolitan life.
