The field with indigo star motif lattice contianing multicoloured panels with polychrome floral sprays, stylised trees, radiating rosettes and angular floral panels. In an ivory border of bold serrated palmettes, arabesques and angular floral vine between arrowhead, chain, barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 10ft.7in. x 7ft.10in.(322cm. x 238cm.) Very good example for this type with well drawn motifs and good colour combination. This carpet has good pile. Selvages original with touches of slight fraying wool on cord in few small places. Ends with short fringes with minute fraying on edges. In general this carpet is in very good usable conditon. Elegnt and very good furnishing piece.
