Opaque pigments heightened with silver and gold on paper, the vertical composition depicting Krishna and his beloved seated in a pavilion in a palatial setting, behind them to the left a female attendant holding a peacock's feathers whisk, on the right a fountain with gushes of fresh water falling on the nearby shrubs, the style of the composition in line with Madhya Pradesh's Ragamala and Rajasthani Krishna Lila painting productions, at the top five lines of black ink Devanagari script text against an ochre background, set within black, yellow and red rules, mounted, glazed and framed, 28.7cm x 17cm excluding the frame.
