Vexillology interest - A Victorian sterling silver and enamel cigarette case, London 1897 by Sampson Mordan and Co.
Of curved rectangular form with rounded corners, push button release and traces of gilt to the interior. The front painted with four enamel maritime flags flying from a flagpole the reverse with engraved crest of a bear's head erased, muzzled above motto nec temere nec timide. Fully marked.
Length - 7.6 cm / 3.0 inches
