A Victorian sterling silver fitted coromandel travelling vanity case, London 1871 by Thomas Whitehouse
Of square form, fitted with nine silver mounted clear glass jar and bottles, each with engraved strapwork edge centred with initials ELD in cypher in gothic script. The lift out tray to reveal a mother of peak handled sewing and personal accessories set, lined with purple velvet. The push button and pin bottom tray with purple velvet lignin, with plate engraved H. Rodrigues 42 Piccadilly, W. The coromandel case with brass stringing an inset circular brass cartouche engraved with initials the same. Key present, lock mechanism functioning.
