A George III sterling silver tea urn, London 1777 by Henry Greenaway
of urn form upon a pedestal square base raised on four ball feet, the domed pull off lid surmounted by a stylised cauliflower finial. Beaded rims throughout, upturned scroll beaded handles with acanthus sections. The square base with applied rosettes. The beaded tap with a wooden spigot. The body engraved with an initial G in flourished cursive script within a reeded oval. Fully marked underneath, the lid with makers mark and lion passant only.
