Each side with a rectangular panel set with characters formed of turquoise, one side reading zhai jie and the other with the Manchu equivalent, framed with slender batons carved from lapis lazuli, the panels flanked by pairs of confronting carps on a finely-worked gilt-metal filigree ground, decorated elsewhere with lotus blossoms carved from coral,
