A CHINESE TURQUOISE-GLAZED 'LOTUS LEAF' WASHER.

Qing Dynasty.

The biscuit body formed as a large up-turned leaf with attendant seed pod and a bud, carved with veins and glazed with two shades of green, 13cm diameter.

Provenance: English diplomatic collection, acquired in Beijing in the 1950s, thence by descent.
