十九或二十世紀 黃花梨交椅

The curved top-rail terminating at each end with outscrolling arms, the carved and pierced splat decorated with a quatrefoil panel enclosing a curling dragon above a cartouche decorated with a qilin amongst swirling clouds and lingzhi, the rattan seat over a scrolling frieze carved in relief with confront chilong dragons, the legs connected by a rectangular footrest mounted with a huangtong plaque depicting three interconnected lozenges,

106cm high, 74cm wide, 66cm deep

c.f. A comparable chair, dated to the 19th century, was offered at Christie's London, 6th November 2012, lot 194. Another similar pair was offered in the same rooms, 7th November 2017, lot 2017. A comparable chair was also offered at Bonhams Edinburgh, 16th November 2016, lot 240.
