Opaque pigments, pencil, and ink on paper, each vertical-format portrait depicting an enthroned mythological king of Ancient Persia in a garden setting, each king portrayed with an elaborate headdress and plain, flowy robes, three kings holding a sceptre or long staff as an imperial insignia, the remaining two painted in a profile stand, each king identified by a black ink nasta'liq inscription (Nowzar, Bahram, Kayqubad, Hushang, and Manuchehr), marked with the painter's stylised human face-like signature reading The Work of Hajji Mansur al-Malek, mounted on black cards with old inventory stickers with numerals (12066-68, 12079, and 12082) on the reverse, 29.2cm x 22cm including mounts.
