An early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver scroll holder, Calcutta circa 1920
Raj period. Of cylindrical form with a pull off end, domed end caps with pyriform finials. The body with embossed decoration of village scenes with elephants and oxen within shaped cartouches reserved against chased foliate scrolls. A vacant cartouche. Together with another scroll holder, Calcutta circa 1920, chased with small village pattern scenes with shaped vignettes reserved against a hatched ground. Vacant cartouche. (2)
