A LARGE CHINESE BRONZE 'SHOU LAO AND DEER' INCENSE BURNER

17th - 18th Century

十七至十八世紀 銅壽老騎鹿熏爐

The Shou Lao, the God of Longevity seated side-saddle on a deer whilst wearing long robes baring his chest, holding a scroll on his right hand, the deer with long legs and its head turned to face the figure above, a pierced hole in the shape of a ruyi to the lower back of the figure, alongside two small holes and a pin to hold the figure in place,

40cm high, weight approx. 3.117kg (deer); 902g (Shou Lao)
