A third quarter 19th century Indian Colonial silver twin handled cup, Calcutta dated 1876 by Cooke and Kelvey

Of campana form upon a domed circular foot, and acanthus capped twin C scroll handles with textured junctions. The base with embossed foliate C scrolls with rocaille. The body with engraved cartouches with foliate pediments above a herringbone border. Each engraved with “1876 The Viceroy’s Prize” and to the other “Won by Captain A. Lister”. Gilt interior. Marked to the foot rim edge COOKE & KELVEY CALCUTTA and lion head mark.
