An early 18th century Scottish unmarked silver mounted quaich, circa 1710
Of twin lugged form, the body formed of wicker bound eight staves of Scots laburnum. The lugs with applied silver mounts with scalloped edge, engraved with tulips, bordered with hatching. The centre with an applied boss engraved with initials JJ over MF in cursive script.
