Ming Dynasty, 15th / 16th Century.
The square-section body with a cover carved with a scholar and his two young attendants on a terrace beneath a pine tree, the sides with dense camellia, prunus and peach blossoms and bamboo carved to a yellow ground, the protruding foot rim with ruyi head feet and a shaped apron, the interior and base black-lacquered, 12.5cm H. (4)
