The joined rectangular hanging of cotton painted in bright pigments with two vertically arranged scenes with the blue-skinned Hindu god Krishna and his adoring gopis, the inner border with repeating bedecked holy cows against a silver-dotted grey ground, the outer border with clockwise small-scale scenes from the life of Krishna, 242cm x 170cm.
