Group of letters by Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge, including: two letters in the third person expressing his regret for not being able to meet the recipients, Cambridge, 29 December 1838 and 20 July 1846; one letter signed ("Adolphus") admitting Lady Ward and her party to a concert's rehearsal, 19 May 1842; one letter signed ("Adolphus"), reading in part "I have to acknowledge the receipt of your note which has just reached me and to express my regret at the trouble you have had concerning the Bible I mentioned to you. Of course, as you have a better illustrated copy of the Bible at the museum, it would be money thrown away if it were to be purchased and, had I been aware of this, I should certainly not trouble you with my first note, Cambridge, 6 March 1847; and another one; seven pages in total, al 8vo (5)
