AN UNUSUAL FINE QASHQAI SUMAC AND PART PILE CARPET, SOUTH-WEST PERSIA, approx: 303cm. x 220cm. Very nice example woven in souf technique (part pile part flat weave). design is well drawn with vertical columns of stylised birds and floral sprays. Very good colour combination. Both selvages original. Ends with original frignges. In genral this carpet is in very good condition throughpout. Very elegant and great furnishing piece.
