Qing Dynasty, 18th-19th Century

清十八至十九世紀 銅胎掐絲琺瑯鳳紋提壺

Of compressed hu form, the body decorated around the exterior with opposing colourful phoenixes flying amidst scrolling leafy stems below a band of archaistic beast mask motifs interspersed with raised gilt-bronze bands cast with key fret, the shoulder attached with a tall looping handle that starts and terminates in stylised cat head finials, the domed cover with additional depictions of phoenixes, all on a bright blue enamel ground, the base cast with an apocryphal four-character Qianlong mark,
