Arabic manuscript on wove paper, 220ff., plus three flyleaves, each folio with 18ll. of black ink minute naskh script, diacritic marks in black, chapter headings in gold, within black and gold rules, one side of the inner cover with marbled endpaper, in brown calf binding, the spine and back in black, the front tooled in gold revealing a vegetal motif, the text 3.2cm x 3.2cm, the folio 4.5cm x 4.1cm.
An analogous sancak Qur'an attributed to Ottoman Turkey, 18th - 19th century, is part of the Khalili Collection of Islamic Art (no. QUR915).
