A COLONIAL LACQUERED PINE CAMPAIGN CHEST, PROBABLY FROM SINGAPORE, 19th century, the top half of the front falling to reveal a paper lined interior, the front with three brass drop handles on engraved brass butterfly design plates, a brass locking mechanism, brass butterfly design hinges, studs and bracing, and Chinese characters, the sides with iron swing handles, over a shaped apron, raised on block supports.
