TWO KASHAN TURQUOISE-GLAZED POTTERY ANIMAL FIGURES
Kashan, Iran, 12th - 13th century

Comprising a figurine zoomorphically shaped like a bear resting on a flat base, glazed in monochrome turquoise, 9.3cm x 5.6cm; and another in the shape of two feline figures, resting on a flat rectangular base, hand-modelled and glazed in turquoise with cobalt blue strokes on the ears, necks, spines, and limbs, three strokes on the base, the underside unglazed and with grid markings 7.4cm x 5cm.
