The ovoid body rising to a broad shoulder and gently-tapering neck, painted in copper-red enamels around the centre of the body with a continuous scene depicting geese swimming through the pond weed-strewn waters of a murky pond, with large lotus flowers rising up from the depths, all above a band of petal lappets in underglaze blue, the shoulder decorated with large lotus flowers and peonies issuing from scrolling leafy stems beneath a band of overlapping ruyi heads, the neck with sprays of lingzhi, the base unglazed,
