Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.

Brightly decorated with a procession of courtiers in a garden, their faces painted on small ivory plaques and garments cut from textile, pasted over lacquered guards with heart-shaped openings containing further figures, terminating with leaf-shaped plaques each painted in gilt with a figure beneath a tree, framed, 40.5cm long (fan).
