A Victorian sterling silver cheroot case Birmingham 1848 by William Dudley

Of rectangular form with rounded edges, a hinged lid with a push button release, fitted with a belcher chain. The exterior with an embossed scene of a stag hunt, showing the stag being pursued by two hounds within a field scape, all reserved with foliate scrolls and flower heads. The obverse with a vacant asymmetrical rocaille C scroll cartouche, otherwise with foliate scrolls. Fully marked between base and lid.
