Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period.
The rounded ribbed sides and a flared rim, the interior painted to the centre with a phoenix flying over large flowering peonies, the cavetto with bunches of peonies and prunus flowers issuing from leafy stems, all within a band of lotus flowers interspersed with four panels enclosing carps and shrimp to the rim, the exterior with a similar design, 26cm diameter.
